Brazil Nut “Parmesan”

One of the things I found hardest to give up when I became whole food plant based was cheese. I missed the hit of salt and fat. If you are having a pasta or pizza dish, or a bowl of risotto, a sprinkle of this over the top can get you a long way towards the same sensation.

 1 cup brazil nuts
  cup nutritional yeast
 1 ½ tsp onion powder
 ½ tsp garlic powder

Put all ingredients into a food processor (small one if you have it), and blend to a fine crumb.

Store in an air tight jar in the fridge.

Having trouble finding onion powder at the supermarket? I know I did. They seem to only stock onion flakes. I now buy it from my local Indian grocer. However, if you only have onion flakes on hand, use them. I have in the past, and you can get away with it.
